Add-It security pens, like any other pens, require ink refills now and then. The refills are very simple to install and can be done in a matter of seconds. On some of the Add-It security pens the refill change will require a special tool, or "key". This key is inserted into holes at the top of the pen barrel and turned counter clockwise to access the barrel chamber and insert the new refill. This tool is also used to repair these pens and replace damaged parts. It is available FREE upon request.Other Add-It security pens require refills that can easily be removed from the barrel by pulling on the refill with pliers or fingertips, at the writing end of the pen. Both refills will last from 3 to 6 months depending upon the amount of use. Shelf life is approximately 1 year. Refills can be ordered by the dozen or as individual units.
